Before we begin: there is a very good chance that next week’s comic will be late, and possibly not happen at all. I’m closing on a home this week, which means most of my weekend will be taken up with trying to get the place into a state such that I am willing to live in it. There will most likely be filler up Monday morning, and if it turns out that I’m not going to be able to do a proper update at all, I’ll make sure that the filler is worth the blank week. Moving on.

This was an interesting one to write, because apart from when he attacked the Boy estate in Whitehouse, in which all he really did was monologue (and yes, this is the one who did that), the personality of this particular Eugene the Sock Puppet, i.e., the one the other two have been referring to as “The Collected One”, hasn’t been developed very much. As I was writing the script for this week’s comic, his personality actually changed about halfway through the dialog, and I had to go back and rewrite a fair bit to better fit his nuances. It’s kind of weird how characters that you could have sworn you had created yourself take on tendencies and mannerisms of their own. I guess you’d have to be a writer to appreciate it. For everyone else, I probably just sound pretentious. I’m better than all of you, though, so it’s okay.

There might be typos in this week’s comic, because I finished at a time when it was inconvenient for my dedicated proofreader to check it. I’ll fix the errors later if she finds any.
